Attempting to recreate Inseok's plots from Song et al. 2001, but having some trouble.
He said that he calculated g from M. The Schaller et al. 1992 grids provide M/Msun, log(L/Lsun), and log(Teff). Here's how I did it:
g=G*M/R^2
L=4*pi*sig*R^2*T^4 -----> R^2=(L*Lsun)/(4*pi*sig*T^4)
g=(G*M*Msun*4*pi*sig*T^4)/(L*Lsun)
This is giving me values of log(g) that are FAR lower than Inseok's. I've carried the calculation out by hand and through Python, and it's not a problem with how I've written out the math in the code. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here, but I'm working on re-crunching the numbers...
Here's my INCORRECT isochrones...
Inseok suggests I look for more recent grids...
